Autism Academic Coaching/Spectrum Voices

Spectrum Success: First Year Academic College Coaching

Is your student feeling increased anxiety, overwhelm, and a sense of isolation during their first year of college as an autistic student?

Kelvin Smith, a PhD level autistic adult with lived experience is uniquely positioned to provide both expert academic guidance and authentic mentorship. This approach blends academic coaching with empathetic understanding of the sensory, social, and executive functioning challenges that autistic students commonly face in transition to college.

The 8-week personalized coaching program offers one-on-one support emphasizing executive functioning skill-building tailored to academic success (time management, organization, task initiation) but framed within lived autistic experience for relatability.

This model supports autistic students not only academically but psychologically, increasing retention, fostering authentic self-advocacy, and building community. It bridges expertise and lived experience to offer a coaching partnership that truly understands the layered challenges and unique talents of autistic first-year students.

Spectrum Voices: Inspirational Talks

Kelvin and LaRita will inspire hope and motivation by presenting authentic perspectives and lived experiences. We will promote understanding and inclusion to a wider audience. We serve as role models showing that with determination, persistence, and self-advocacy, individuals with autism can overcome barriers and set ambitious goals.

DISCOVERY CALL

Kelvin invites you to schedule a complimentary first step talk. He will share more details about his autism coaching program and answer any questions you may have.
